When you’re not in class, you can explore Twin Lakes State Beach, hike in the majestic redwoods of Henry Cowell State Park, or take a drive up to the infamous Maverick’s to watch giant waves—you may get lucky and watch the surfers tackle these dangerous 24 –80 ft. waves, (but don’t try it yourself; leave it to experienced pros!). We have a plethora of wineries, museums, free activities throughout Santa Cruz County, San Francisco, San Jose, Monterey, and the Bay Area!
